Each ratchet head is stamped with the size of head and if it is left or right side. The size of your ratchet head depends on the size of pipe that your ratchet head is welded to in order to wrap your chains for torque.

Heavy Duty Quick Release Lock – Left Hand $26.30

This spring lock is used on the driver side of the trailer or head rack. It is the lock for the ratchet heads. When tightening down you chains this lock will automatically lock the chain in place so you can move your tie bar to another hole in order to keep tightening down your chain. For release of the chain all you have to do is put your tie bar in the handle hole and pull out the lock pin from the ratchet heads.
